Gary W. Tilley Member since 2020 Standing for the Board for the first time Statement for Election to WIWL Board You may be most familiar with my wife and I from seeing us at the lake fishing or on the archery range. My commitment to investing time on the Board for WIWL is an extension of my enjoyment experienced at WIWL and my desire to improve and maintain WIWL. I would like to see the WIWL board focus on areas such as the lake conditions, possibly expanding camping sites, kayak/canoe storage (fee based) and wildflower pollinator ranges. Our bird houses could be improved, as well as needed archery range repairs and 3D target replacement. My relevant experience includes management of multi-million-dollar equipment and assets, interpersonal and public communications skill, and extensive training programs. I am a lifetime hunter and fishing enthusiast and have hiked multiple areas of the local Appalachian trail. I believe strongly in the concept of conservation for the future of our planet. WIWL offers families an opportunity to spend time together and encourages our youth to focus on the benefits of conservation. I have been a long-time volunteer of time and resources to assist veterans of all ages. Organizing and participating in fund raising for a variety of veteran assistance programs, and disabled veteran outreach. As a career security professional, to include 17 years of military experience, I am well versed in multiple areas of training, land navigation, and years of range safety. I look forward to volunteering service on the WIWL board and hearing from you about your WIWL experiences and ideas to better our space. Thank you for the opportunity to run for a board seat.
